WWI - 1914-1918 (45 year difference)
WWII - not even going to bother because it has zip to do with Hakuouki whatsoever. (almost a century in between)
I can’t even figure out what this person means by this:
There’s nothing wrong with making your OC half-human in Hakuouki but if it’s half-human half-youkai-that’s-not-the-typical-Oni, that’s just out of the universe and doesn’t fit with Hakuouki, because the era is close to WWI and WWII.
But I can oh so pleasantly point out that it doesn’t make any sense. Not to mention youkai culture still exists today, especially in pop culture. I particularly enjoyed Nurarihyon no Mago. A show about youkai existing all the way up to modern times.
Also, she has addressed this herself, but yes she does have a human form just like those oni you love so much. You really should fact check ahead of time.
One last thing I’d like to take issue with: Is a concept cliche just because it appears in shows like Naruto? No. Obviously not. That sentence was gibberish as well.
My main point here is… you made no sense in replying to those anons and you said some things that were none of your business as well. And I must reiterate that if you would like to go over your statements about Japanese folklore, by all means step forward. I may not have taken that class at IU yet but I think I have enough under my belt.
